Campbell Hall

When Campbell Hall was officially dedicated in 1999, it marked the first the nearly 80-year-old WILL TV and Radio's operations had been consolidated into a single location. Since its start in 1922, WILL had made its home in more than 10 different buildings, including "a former classroom, an old bakery, an 80-year-old rooming house, a former grain-inspection station, a mobile home, and even former residential homes," according to University of Illinois archives. The new facility contains a whopping 40,966 square feet and is adjoined by the Richmond Journalism Teaching Studio and the Swanson Center. The public can take tours of the state-of-the-art Campbell Hall each weekday. It is located at 300 North Goodwin in Urbana. Take a UI photo tour.
